Took a wrong turn somewhere (or is it right?)

[When Yuuri wakes up, he's greeted with a pounding headache, the likes of which he's never had before. Opening his eyes gets him an eyeful of cheerful sunlight that sends him whimpering back under the covers. He tries again a few minutes later, just managing to swing his legs over the side of the bed, wincing the whole time.

He freezes when he finally gets a good look at the room. This is...not his hotel room.

The shock is enough to temporarily push back the discomfort and make him jump to his feet. What happened? Where am I? he wonders, when he comes up empty handed after a quick search of the room for his belongings. One hand running through his hair as his panic steadily rises, Yuuri finally starts toward the door, intent on finding answers.]

Okay. I'll deal with my accounts while you order.

[Yuuri's worrying at his bottom lip as he clicks around the account information displayed on the laptop screen, and it isn't until he's clicked out of it that he begins to feel the weight of Victor's gaze on him. His cheeks redden slightly, but he resolutely fires off a few apologetic emails to his family and friends before he dares to look up.]

What is it? [Yuuri fidgets, feeling a little self conscious.]

[wauuu]

[Victor finishes ordering, blinking in confusion to be met with the question.]

Hm? Pirozhki is a pastry with meat and rice inside. Borscht is a beat soup, very good with some rye bread. They should help settle you stomach.

[yokunaru]

Oh--no, that's not it. [Though it's good to know what he's eating, at least.

He smiles tentatively.] You, uh. You were staring at me.

[wauuu]

[he blinks again, before laughing gently]

Was I? I didn't even notice! I'll try to be more mindful if it disquiets you.

[yokunaru]

I don't really mind. [Yuuri says without thinking, slightly distracted by the email from Phichit that just popped into the inbox. Then, his mind backtracks, and he's suddenly mortified by how forward that was.

He drops his face into his hands again, muffling his next words.] Please pretend I didn't say that.

[wauuu]

[Victor chuckles, Yuri is an odd one, but then again he didn't remember how forward he'd been the night before. The man is much more conservative when sober, that was for certain]

You're teasing me! In my own home! [he feigns dramatic outrage, clearly thinking this is quite funny]

[yokunaru]

[Horror makes him sit up, back ramrod straight.] N-no! I wasn't doing that at all!

[Too busy waving his hands in denial, it takes him a second to catch up. His mouth snaps shut and he sinks back into the chair, wishing he could actually just sink into the floor.]

But you are. Teasing me. I'm going to stop talking now.

[What a great impression he's leaving Victor with here...]

[wauuu]

[there are many impressions Victor is getting, all surprising and fun and unexpected. He laughs the whole while, just wanting to tease more]

You're a lot cuter sober.

[yokunaru]

[That definitely isn't helping the blush fade at all. Yuuri peeks up at Victor, his words striking a chord of curiosity in him.]

So you're... [He clears his throat, appearing to brace himself for whatever Victor's answer might be.] You're not upset that I don't, um. Remember what happened at the banquet?

["Interesting" isn't a word he'd use to describe himself, honestly, and since Victor hadn't seemed to recognize him when he offered a picture together... Yuuri can only assume he'd caught Victor's attention when he was drunk. It wouldn't bother him so much if those pictures hadn't painted him as a completely different person.]

[wauuu]

It's a little frustrating! I had a lot of fun with you, Chris, and the others; a shame you don't share the same. [His tone is acceptance, though there's no thrill. He does spark some enthusiasm to say]

We'll just have to make some new memories together, won't we? [That wink, but it's a bit different, a bit more flirtatious than normal]

[yokunaru]

[His gaze is surprisingly level as he studies Victor now, appreciating the honesty in his reply. Crazy as this day's been so far, Yuuri would be lying if it said he didn't enjoy seeing Victor like this, and getting to know him outside of the interviews and skating videos. He doesn't want that to change yet.]

I'd like that. [They're said softly, but earnestly.]

[wauuu]

Very good! I'd hate for you to think I'm some creep who stole away with you. You're quite persuasive when drunk. Not too persuasive, but quite a bit.

[yokunaru]

I wouldn't have thought that anyway! [He says this with certainty.]

What...did I say when I was drunk? You showed me the pictures, but did something else happen?

[wauuu]

Do you really want to know?

Judging by how you've acted sober, you'll be terribly embarrassed.

[yokunaru]

So there was more. [This time he manages to stifle the preemptive groan of embarrassment. Then, he steels himself.]

I want to know. Even if I am embarrassed.

[He's already forgotten dancing with Viktor. In the end, Yuuri figures that knowing is better than not.]

[wauuu]

You really wanted me to take your virginity.

It was practically a demand.

[yokunaru]

[There's no stopping the whimper that escapes him this time, but he gamely tries to recover anyway. Just ignore his red face.]

Well, I did ask.

[wauuu]

I wasn't sure if you were making a joke or not! Aren't you in your early twenties? [subtext; how are you still a virgin at your age?]

[yokunaru]

[He's just. Going to slowly drop his face into his hands again.

The silence says it all: yup he sure is a virgin at 23.]

Wow! You're like finding a unicorn!

[Victor: probably not helping]

[yokunaru]

[Spoilers: it definitely isn't helping.]

I just never found anyone I was interested in. It's not that rare.

[he'll point to himself, grinning like he's incredibly flattered]

You've waited all that time, but I make the cut, for you? What a compliment!

That's--! [Flustered, Yuuri immediately tries to deny everything, but cuts himself off before he can really do so because he really can't argue with that. Especially when he has an impressive collection of posters plastered all over his room back in Hasetsu.

Yuuri bites his lip, looking away.]

You charm people left and right everywhere you go. I'm pretty sure you know a lot of people find you attractive.

[wauuu]

I still find it flattering. [even if he expects it, it's a good feeling]

Especially when it's someone cute as you.

[yokunaru]

Oh. [He smiles tentatively. This could take some getting used to. Then, because he feels like an explanation is still needed, he adds softly-] It's not just the looks. It was your skating, too. [It's a little embarrassing to be admitting this to the man himself, but Yuuri keeps going.] I liked the way you moved across the ice. That's what really caught my attention.

So. There. [Feeling his blush keenly, Yuuri clears his throat and quickly fixes his gaze back on the laptop screen.]
