Took a wrong turn somewhere (or is it right?)

[When Yuuri wakes up, he's greeted with a pounding headache, the likes of which he's never had before. Opening his eyes gets him an eyeful of cheerful sunlight that sends him whimpering back under the covers. He tries again a few minutes later, just managing to swing his legs over the side of the bed, wincing the whole time.

He freezes when he finally gets a good look at the room. This is...not his hotel room.

The shock is enough to temporarily push back the discomfort and make him jump to his feet. What happened? Where am I? he wonders, when he comes up empty handed after a quick search of the room for his belongings. One hand running through his hair as his panic steadily rises, Yuuri finally starts toward the door, intent on finding answers.]

[Very seriously:] I like all of them.

[Yes, even some of the dubious ones that the forums used to argue over. It's Victor's skating that had drawn Yuuri in to begin with, and the skating is still as beautiful no matter what costume Victor's wearing.]

Um, if you're asking about favorites, though... [Yuuri pauses to take a bite of food as he mulls this over.] I...I guess one of mine would be the black one you wore for the Junior World Championships. The one with the mesh and the crystals?

I know just where that one is! Didn't it spill out in the dance room earlier? Maybe that was a different one. We'll go take a look. [he gets his own past routines mixed up sometimes, not the best memory of them all]

Even if we don't find it right away, I'm sure you won't mind looking through my back catalog. I have suitcases and suitcases of old skates and costumes here.

[Yuuri pauses and thinks over everything that happened in the dance room, blushing a little when he remembers how heated things had gotten. Before that, though...]

Oh! [He perks up.] You're right, it was in the suitcase that fell open. We can see what else you have lying around here, too.

I don't know why I remembered it but I DID

I promise I won't tease you the whole time. [Victor... teases, winking as he says as much]

But your fanboy enthusiasm is too cute to not point out.

[For a moment, Yuuri simply eyes him skeptically. Then, he exhales, shaking his head slightly. It's... not so bad, having Victor bring it up, when he actually seems to like it.]

Can't really blame me. [Yuuri says, toying with the dwindling pile of rice in his bowl.] There's a lot to fanboy over.

[wauuu]

[Victor can't help the burst of laughter that causes, which is somehow both boisterous and bashful]

You're too flattering! I'm prideful enough, you're only fueling the fire.

[yokunaru]

[Seeing Victor laugh only makes Yuuri grin, the spark of embarrassment much more mild than it was the first time his fanboy tendencies got brought up.]

It's almost like you want me to find something to complain about.

[wauuu]

I'm not perfect! I appreciate that I've kept up the illusion, though. [he chuckles, finishing his every bit of his delectable meal before moving to rinse the bowl off in the sink. He'll leave it there, not wanting to clean up right away, with Yuuri goading him to go look through his old collections.]

[Though Yuuri follows after him with his own empty bowl, he looks a bit thoughtful rather than amused by Victor's words.]

Have you had to... do that a lot? [He glances over when he's rinsing the utensils off under the faucet.] Keeping up the illusion, I mean.

[wauuu]

There's certainly an image of Victor Nikiforov that I cultivate, but anybody who really knows me sees the differences. I mostly hear how I'm more goofy than people expect. Who could stand to as pristine as my photo shoots show me, all the time? Sounds exhausting!
