Took a wrong turn somewhere (or is it right?)

[When Yuuri wakes up, he's greeted with a pounding headache, the likes of which he's never had before. Opening his eyes gets him an eyeful of cheerful sunlight that sends him whimpering back under the covers. He tries again a few minutes later, just managing to swing his legs over the side of the bed, wincing the whole time.

He freezes when he finally gets a good look at the room. This is...not his hotel room.

The shock is enough to temporarily push back the discomfort and make him jump to his feet. What happened? Where am I? he wonders, when he comes up empty handed after a quick search of the room for his belongings. One hand running through his hair as his panic steadily rises, Yuuri finally starts toward the door, intent on finding answers.]

That feeling, and watching Victor completely lose it, makes him incredibly rash.]

[Chris isn't the only one thrown off here! Yuuri just blinks at the phone, wide eyed.]

[Now he does look at Victor, bewildered, and absolutely certain he'd just heard that wrong.]

[First Viktor, now Chris... it's a whole lot of attention that he's not used to, and Yuuri isn't even really sure how to handle this information.]

Ummm thank you? [He's thoroughly breaking character now, but Yuuri still clutches at the phone uncertainly and adds-] But, yes, we're together.

[Yuuri looks at Victor with arched brows, silently asking if they're still keeping up with the joke.]

Like together in the same room or like together? [his tone says "like a romantic thing" but also manages to sound really derisive]

...both? [The talk they'd had about exploring things together counts, right?

This talk has taken a turn that he wasn't expecting. Not to mention, Yuuri isn't sure what to make of Chris' tone either.] Is there something wrong with that?

That's not fair! That shouldn't be allowed. You're going to distract him. [Chris is utterly selfish]

How am I supposed to feel good about finally winning a Gold Medal against him, then? I'll know it was hollow! [Victor's just rolling his eyes.]

[A frown works its way onto his face as Chris talks. As a long-time Victor fan, Yuuri feels compelled to defend him.]

That's not true! Victor's good enough that he'll still win gold even with everything else going on.

Don't you want to beat him at Worlds? You're also his competition! [so is Chris, he just did waaaay better than Yuri at the Grand Prix]

[Yuuri winces, remembering just how badly he did in the final.]

I was nowhere near the podium this time, Chris. [He says quietly, simply. While, yes, he would've liked to have skated his programs better while sharing the ice with Victor, to imply that he could beat the now 5-time world champion in his current state is laughable to him.]

House party, Chriiis! After the storm passes, so don't leave town, okay? You can get that rematch you want! [Chris is, of course, outraged by this. HE DIDN'T LOSE THE DANCE OFF, VICTOR, YOU'RE BLINDED BY LOVE]

Bye, Chris! [Yuuri quickly swipes a finger across the screen to end the call before Chris can protest any more, and then he sighs, pressing the phone against his chest.]

Do you think he's annoyed that we messed with him like that? [He hadn't sounded annoyed at the end, but Victor knows Chris better than he does.]

Of course he's annoyed! [Victor laughs]

That's what friends are for, right? He's been teasing me relentlessly, it's good to get one over on him, for once.
