Took a wrong turn somewhere (or is it right?)
[When Yuuri wakes up, he's greeted with a pounding headache, the likes of which he's never had before. Opening his eyes gets him an eyeful of cheerful sunlight that sends him whimpering back under the covers. He tries again a few minutes later, just managing to swing his legs over the side of the bed, wincing the whole time.
He freezes when he finally gets a good look at the room. This is...not his hotel room.
The shock is enough to temporarily push back the discomfort and make him jump to his feet. What happened? Where am I? he wonders, when he comes up empty handed after a quick search of the room for his belongings. One hand running through his hair as his panic steadily rises, Yuuri finally starts toward the door, intent on finding answers.]

It's a very good thing I took you home, Yuri. Your hotel room ended up broken into that night. I have to call the police, apparently there's a missing person report for you. Celestino most have-- [he'll be dialing the number as he speaks, cutting off at a pick up, then rattling off in Russian, saying "Katsuki Yuri" quite clearly.]
no subject
With a sinking feeling in his chest, Yuuri gets out of the chair to stand beside Victor instead. Waiting, when he can't understand any of the conversation, is agonizing, but Victor is clearly better equipped to handle this than he is.]
no subject
The police need to stop by and confirm you're here, which means you're probably sticking around another few hours at the least. Your stuff was stolen except for a few sets of clothes, so you should probably get online and cancel your credit cards. [He'll tap his lips with a finger thoughtfully]
I don't know what to do about your ID and passport, though. [it might say something that Victor doesn't think to suggest "alerting your family", it wouldn't be a step on his list....]
no subject
The silver lining, if there is one, is that the shock of it all has virtually wiped away whatever anxiety he might have felt around Victor. For now, at least. Yuuri looks up and manages to smile at Victor tiredly.]
I'm sorry. [Some of the guilt bleeds into his expression.] I've just been causing trouble for you this whole time.
no subject
Besides, now I get to spend more time with you.
no subject
I...I don't mind that part either. [His hands twist together in his lap. A part of him can't believe that he'd actually said that.] And I wouldn't have known what to do if you weren't here. S-so... thank you.
no subject
You're welcome. If there is anything you want or need to be more comfortable, just let me know. It will be arranged. [he's confident in that, maybe wanting to show off a little. Not that the giant house in the private suburbs of Sochi wasn't enough......]
no subject
[It feels like everything's been scattered in different directions, and Yuuri has to somehow find a way to collect them all again. It's a lot to take in.
Yuuri frowns down at the floor as he attempts to sort out his thoughts.]
How long do we have before the police get here?
no subject
Let me get you my laptop, report fraud on any cards you had in your wallet. They're probably already compromised. Your coach is probably getting a call from the police to let him know you're found.
gdi I laughed
I guess that means Mr. Celestino's gone... [Yuuri resists the urge to reach into his pocket for a phone that isn't going to be there. Softly, ] I'll have to tell my family what's going on, too.
no subject
If you find anything strange in my internet history, pretend you didn't.
no subject
I wasn't going to look! [Then, he pauses, his hands hover over he keyboard. Curiosity makes him say--] ...what would you classify as "strange"?
no subject
You're probably starving. Want me to order some food? We can bet if the delivery guy will beat the police here.
no subject
What does the winner get? [He adds a second later, ] Um, maybe we can order something you really like. Your favorite food? [He twists the shirt's hem in his fingers as he glances at Victor bashfully.] I don't know too much about Russian cuisine.
[Though Yuuri is trying to make sure Victor isn't going too much out of the way for him, he's also not wasting the opportunity to learn more about Victor. Especially when Victor actually seems to want him around for some reason.]
no subject
Pirozhki and some hot Borchtz should be good for a hangover. I'll call some in. [He's on his phone with a smile, though his eyes are idly resting on Yuri the whole while.]
no subject
[Yuuri's worrying at his bottom lip as he clicks around the account information displayed on the laptop screen, and it isn't until he's clicked out of it that he begins to feel the weight of Victor's gaze on him. His cheeks redden slightly, but he resolutely fires off a few apologetic emails to his family and friends before he dares to look up.]
What is it? [Yuuri fidgets, feeling a little self conscious.]
no subject
Hm? Pirozhki is a pastry with meat and rice inside. Borscht is a beat soup, very good with some rye bread. They should help settle you stomach.
no subject
He smiles tentatively.] You, uh. You were staring at me.
no subject
Was I? I didn't even notice! I'll try to be more mindful if it disquiets you.
no subject
He drops his face into his hands again, muffling his next words.] Please pretend I didn't say that.
no subject
You're teasing me! In my own home! [he feigns dramatic outrage, clearly thinking this is quite funny]
no subject
[Too busy waving his hands in denial, it takes him a second to catch up. His mouth snaps shut and he sinks back into the chair, wishing he could actually just sink into the floor.]
But you are. Teasing me. I'm going to stop talking now.
[What a great impression he's leaving Victor with here...]
no subject
You're a lot cuter sober.
no subject
So you're... [He clears his throat, appearing to brace himself for whatever Victor's answer might be.] You're not upset that I don't, um. Remember what happened at the banquet?
["Interesting" isn't a word he'd use to describe himself, honestly, and since Victor hadn't seemed to recognize him when he offered a picture together... Yuuri can only assume he'd caught Victor's attention when he was drunk. It wouldn't bother him so much if those pictures hadn't painted him as a completely different person.]
no subject
We'll just have to make some new memories together, won't we? [That wink, but it's a bit different, a bit more flirtatious than normal]
