[It's only been a month since he and Mei opened up their own business, a month since graduating, and yet, the orders are already starting to pile up. Izuku supposes, he shouldn't be so surprised, with the reputation Mei built up for herself while they were in UA. Even in a Support Course as rigorous as their high school's, Mei quickly proved herself to be one of the best and brightest.

And then there's him. While Izuku knows he's no slouch when it comes to analyzing a hero's weaknesses and strengths, he also knows that he'd gotten lucky when he found a business partner and friend in Mei. Shaking his head, Izuku throws himself into his work to dispel those thoughts. Things had turned out alright in the end; that's what actually matters.]

Hooooold on, I'll be right with you. [Izuku calls, distracted, when he hears the front door open. A few more strokes of his pencil and--done! Finished with another design sketch, Izuku sets his notebook aside and stands up, looking up at them for the first time. He pauses, not even managing to get a greeting out.] ...Todoroki-kun?

It's not. But I'll be later this time.

I don't want a repeat of what happened today. [ Because it's very embarrassing. That's all. ]

[inheritance]

[Izuku nods, trying not to look too crestfallen. He's so, so sorry.]

I...I know! I'll make sure we do it right tomorrow.

[glaciers]

I was the one who fell asleep on you.

[inheritance]

It's not your fault for being so tired! I-it's not like I minded you sticking around for longer...

[Besides, they're having dinner now because of it, so Izuku can5't help but feel like things worked out, even if he feels guilty.]

[glaciers]

[He smiles softly to himself.]

Hm... It's not all bad.

[inheritance]

[Izuku doesn't think he'll ever get over that smile. It makes Todoroki look so much more...gentle, compared to the almost standoffish way he sometimes carries himself.]

It's...not. [He agrees shyly.] I did say you're welcome in our office and everything. Tomorrow can be your first...unofficial visit.

[glaciers]

[He's a much softer person than he seems during work. There's just something about Midoriya that brings out his softer side.]

I'm looking forward to it, Midoriya. See you again tomorrow.

[inheritance]

[That draws an exaggerated frown out of him.] Hey, you can't say that yet! At least wait until we've eaten and everything.

[And speaking of food, the waiter approaches them with their cold sobas, placing their dinner on the table in front of them.]

[glaciers]

I'm not that far off, the food is here.

[Very, very gentle teasing.]

[inheritance]

If you keep saying that, I'm going to end up thinking you want us to part ways faster.

[You're lucky the food looks good, Todoroki, or he'd tease even more. Izuku grabs his chopsticks and eagerly digs in.]

[glaciers]

[Shouto's quiet and content as he eats. This is his favorite food at his very favorite restaurant where nobody bothers him for being that Shouto!

He looks perfectly at ease.]

[inheritance]

[Izuku hums happily after the first mouthful of soba.]

You were right; these are really good. [He flashes Todoroki a grin.] You'll probably see me around here a lot more after this.

[glaciers]

[Shouto offers a smile as he finishes his first bite.]

I won't mind seeing you here.

[inheritance]

[He's on a high after successfully befriending Todoroki, so he lets his mouth ramble on without checking himself.]

Maybe we can even stop by here together sometimes, if you're at the workshop! Since you're kind of an honorary member now.

[Immediately, he blushes as soon as his mind catches up with his mouth. There he goes, assuming things again.] That's! If you want to...I don't want to just invite myself along...

[glaciers]

[He fixes Midoriya with a slightly confused stare.]

I don't even make anything.

[inheritance]

I know. [Todoroki's confusion makes him smile just a bit.]

But if you're going to be spending some time there, then that makes you one of us. Sort of.

[glaciers]

... Well. I'll be around even if I'm not working.

[inheritance]

Exactly! [He grins, setting his chopsticks down just so he can gesture.]

I'll even have the All Might blanket on hand just in case you want to rest again.

[glaciers]

[That's! Very embarrassing, Midoriya!]

I'll try not to fall asleep as soon as I come in next time.

[inheritance]

What if I want you to rest? [That would be preferable to Todoroki being extremely tired!]

Um, unless you're falling asleep because I'm talking too much and making you sleepy. That would be sort of embarrassing.

[glaciers]

Ideally, I would have rested before I came in.

[He gives Midoriya a slow blink.]

Why do you think I'd fall asleep because of you?

[inheritance]

Because...I talk a lot? I tend to ramble, a-as I'm sure you've noticed.

If it's not about something that you're interested in, then I'm sure it could be very boring to listen to.

[glaciers]

[He takes a sip from his water, looking directly at Midoriya.]

I like hearing you talk.

[inheritance]

[Izuku gapes at him, almost dropping the chopsticks he'd just picked up again.]

You...you do? Even if it's about other heroes or their quirks?

[glaciers]

Your thoughts about those things are interesting. You've spent a lot of time thinking about them.
