[Luke's going along with this really easily, too, and it makes Yuuri wonder.]

It's not bad. Pretty strong, and it's cheap, too.

[Perfect for a student, in other words. Yuuri arrives at the shop not too long after Luke does, and he pauses in the doorway, scanning the room with curious eyes.]

Yeeeeah you could say that? Sometimes I travel a lot without meaning to and I end up having to find my way back more often than not. I'm used to it.

[Given the fact that Luke moves to answer the text by the time Yuuri enters the shop, it's pretty easy to spot him off to the side reading over the menu.]

Strong and cheap is good by me. I don't really like it any other way. Thanks for the tip.

What really?? That sounds pretty dangerous. Is there anyone you could call for some help?

[While Yuuri doesn't know how self sufficient Luke is, it sounds like a whole lot to deal with on your own regardless. His eyes spot Luke tapping at an answer, and he hesitantly moves toward him. Yuuri keeps his voice quiet, just in case he's wrong.]

Luke...?

After a while the people I'd usually call just tell me to stop wandering, so nah. I pick the lesser of two evils and I don't like being idle

[He doesn't get to respond beyond that, but he hears Yuuri behind him and turns, cocking an eyebrow before there's a wiry grin in place.]

And you must be my savior of the day.

Calling me your "savior" is probably exaggerating things a little.

[There's a softer, more timid quality to his voice that probably hadn't carried through the text. His eyes flick over to the menu, then back to Luke. He hesitates.]

Did you want anything? I'll cover you, and we can go looking for your wallet once we have our drinks.

[chiseler]

Is it? You're the one bailing me out of a bind by helping. [He notices, but he doesn't say anything about it. He's not sure what to make of it mostly but he does chill out his own approach just a touch.] That's almost too nice of you, you know that? Helping me with my own screw-up and covering my coffee?

[...and yet.] Whatever's good and cheap. Never was raised to be picky about it, not gonna start now.

Hey, you were helping me procrastinate earlier, remember?

[That's not...exactly the most stellar of things to be grateful for, but considering how badly Yuuri handles things like this...

His mouth curls up slightly, amused.] I try to remind my roommate of that sometimes. We have too many things to pay for without being picky about our food. [Yuuri's definitely grinning now.] He gets really indignant about what Americans call "Thai" food.

[chiseler]

I'm really good at that, it's true. Guess you could call it a talent. [His hands slip into his pockets and he tilts his head, still assessing Yuuri carefully.] Do I wanna know what's so bad about fake Thai?

Mostly that it's not authentic enough.

[Even if Yuuri's shaking his head now and talking about Phichit's preferences, he can't really say anything himself. Not when he's looked at Americanized sushi and wondered what happened there.]

[chiseler]

[Versus Luke who's apparently a garbage can and will eat whatever.]

Fair enough. I'm not sure what authentic Thai even tastes like but I'll take his word for it. It takes guts to have a strong enough opinion like that. [A grin follows though.] But...cheap and good coffee, and then we can figure out what to do from here. Sound like a plan?
