[There's always a feeling of calm that washes over Korra when she steps out of the portal and into the Spirit World, now that she isn't here to stop the Spirit of Darkness from destroying everything. She stands in front of the Tree of Time, fingers running lightly over its ancient bark without hurry. If she ignores the spirit vines starting to grow in Republic City and the increasing complaints directed at her because of them, Korra can believe things are peaceful enough, that she has the time to explore this new world now. Still quiet, she moves on with a parting look at the Tree.

The field of vibrant flowers, with some of the plants growing high enough to tower over her, greets her once she's walked a short distance. What Korra doesn't expect is to see anyone else there. While the portals have remained open at her request, and the invitation to explore offered, Korra knows the people of the material world are wary of spirits still. She's surprised to see that anyone might have taken the opportunity at all. Careful not to startle them, Korra walks closer.]
